Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is the writer of a number of popular American cookbooks on cooking. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which began in 2002. Ina was employed in the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policy documents and also the budget. While she initially found the work intellectually stimulating she eventually stopped her interest. She then bought the Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. After more than 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it and began creating her first novel. In the following years, numerous books were released and she also contributed to magazine articles. Her Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. She sells many products, from ingredients for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina is not a student at any cooking school, nor employed in a restaurant, and has a complete self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her easy method of cooking, and her effortless take on entertainment. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet with Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
