Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She was the head girl of Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman confessed she was regretting that she did not go to the university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. The company performed in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. In addition to winning a prize for her acting, the production she performed was well received. Coleman got the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and the category for Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news conference held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman will take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work with Smith as well as the fact that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. The most well-known of her roles was television. Eva has played a variety of TV parts, however the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The role that she first appeared on television earned 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore her love for music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. She was married three times and has a daughter from her second husband.
