Sharp was a student of clarinet, keyboard, and cello in the Hochstein School of Music in Rochester. Sharp's passion for theatre during her high school years was what led her to the Boston Conservatory, where she received a scholarship. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. from the Conservatory, Sharp set her goals for the stage. Sharp was a part of The Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatrical shows include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin' Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp performed alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp is working on several original projects which include screenplays and plays. Sharp is currently developing her first album for studio work. Sharp is a fitness enthusiast and stays in great condition by pursuing Krav Maga and boxing. Sharp lives with her family, including her husband living in Los Angeles.
