Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967 is a Canadian actor from Canada. After her initial roles on television and film, she gained international fame for her part of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress in an Supporting role. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV show. She also appeared in Jeri Hogarth. While in Spain, Moss obtained a part as Tara as the clerk of Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. The show was a success and she moved from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was forced to leave Dark Justice after the third and last season. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha "Sam". She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena following her return and then she was a part of Fox's soap opera in primetime Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. In July 1995, the series was removed from the air. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada show. She was a frequent guest on TV series such as Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. [3] She won the Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest actor in Drama. She starred in many B-movie roles throughout the decade, including Flashfire (1994) and The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
